“After relocating from the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was always going to be a challenge to be able to fully appreciate the full extent of the Knight Frank community and culture and of course the social aspect of Hong Kong. Despite the obvious restrictions, I’ve been able to gain the full support of my team in guiding me through the unique characteristics of the local market, supported through Knight Frank’s Learn & Grow Seminars, and to understand Hong Kong’s impact and role in Greater China through close collaboration with colleagues across the region.
Having worked in other large corporations, I particularly appreciate the value that Knight Frank places in their people. Each member of the team is encouraged to add their unique and diverse experience to their work. It has enabled me to not only develop a greater understanding of how to overcome challenging scenarios, but also gain an appreciation of the cultural differences, ensuring I provide both accurate and well-rounded advice to my clients.
Looking towards my future in the industry, my motivation to become a rounded, professional chartered surveyor goes hand-in-hand with working for Knight Frank. Their globally recognised brand focuses on professionalism and excellence, which is demonstrated by the business leaders, the day to day appointments, and the global platform that Knight Frank operates on and facilitates you to network within.”
“It’s life-long learning, don’t worry! - this is a text message I received from top management at a time when I felt challenged to lead a project that required absolute precision and professionalism in a tight timeframe.
Being devoted and having spent more than 10 years at Knight Frank, I cherish the nurturing culture the most. We are always encouraged to collaborate: we set professional development goals together, and we further our successes hand-in-hand. Solid guidance from the management and constant support from my teammates have enabled me to build a strong sense of commitment at work where enjoy leading the team and facing new challenges every day.
I really appreciate the opportunity given to grow, personally and professionally with Knight Frank.”
“I joined Knight Frank as a Graduate Surveyor in 2019. In my role, I have wide exposure across different professional teams including Land Advisory Services and Valuation & Advisory which equips me with the skills and experience required to be a chartered surveyor through on the job training recognised by the RICS and HKIS. So far, I have worked on assignments at different stages of real estate development, from formulating feasible real estate development plans, to helping clients secure banking facilities upon acquisition. Working at Knight Frank gives me a strong sense of accomplishment and I really enjoy my time here.”
To encourage staff engagement and communication, regular town hall meetings are conducted to share important business updates of the group with all staff. A creative and challenging team building activity echoing the theme of the year was the highlight of the event.
Day of Giving is a global CSR initiative at Knight Frank that is held once every two years. The Hong Kong office took part in a 24hr Charity Dinghy Race hosted by Hebe Haven Yacht Club for the benefit of 5 local charities in the latest Day of Giving.
