SCAD seeks an Academic Services Assistant for its Hong Kong location. In this role, you will assist the academic services leadership team with various daily organizational tasks. These include, but are not limited to, managing schedules, correspondence and the contact database.
You will also prioritize all written communication and business as it relates to academic services, including reading and routing incoming mail and composing and preparing outgoing correspondence by mail, email and fax in a timely manner. Additionally, you will take minutes and compile reports for all academic services meetings, quarterly reports and executive reporting; proofread and edit all documents and reports that originate and/or filter through the academic services office providing quality control for the department; and serve as primary point of contact for the department of academic services and independently research, prioritize and handle matters addressed to the associate dean and forward as appropriate.
Other duties include managing the faculty course release/overload process on a quarterly basis as necessary, assisting in arranging the rescheduling of classes or for substitute professors in case faculty members are absent, updating the faculty on policies and procedures, and scheduling faculty to assist with events when necessary.
