Our client, UK public listed FSI with turned over G22m in 2009 and has seen 40% + growth year-on-year in Asia over the past three years. Having rolled out an ASP solution in Hong Kong and strong connections in Taiwan and China, their HK operations is one of the key to the continued success of the Asian region growth.

The Role: Account Director

Reporting to the Regional Director you will be required to maintain the business relationship with current key clients and, if possible source new business opportunities across Hong Kong, Taiwan and China to deliver against the overall business plan. You will also liaise with existing major customers to develop strategic sales opportunities to exceed revenue targets and achieve profitable growth commitments across a number of product offerings.

Main challenges

  • Keep a good relationship with Current key accounts (Banks, fund houses, investment trading firms, Solution providers)
  • Conduct Product Presentations, Proposal formulation, presentation and negotiation with potential customers
  • Reporting and liaison with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure timely and accurate flow of information to the customer.
  • Participation at selected sales and marketing events including conferences, exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Contribution to the product development process through accurate feedback of customer needs and enhancement requests
  • Develop the business strategy for new and existing accounts and marketing within Hong Kong taking responsibility for its execution including P&L responsibility for new and existing customers
  • Develop and drive sales and account development program for all Honk Kong and surrounding customers thus ensuring that maximizes revenue opportunities for all clients.
  • Provide the day-to-day contact point for all Hong Kong office customers relating to Commercial or Trader Support matters.
  • Coordinate all required training for current and new customers relating to front end applications and management software.
  • Ensure Technical Support process and communicate well enough in order to manage the clients expectations.
  • Extract and provide translation of business problem into a technical form in order that Technical Support have clear understanding of problem.

What we are looking for

  • Degree/ Master degree from a Top-tier university preferred
  • World class standard of English, (Essential)
  • A good understanding of Asian Electronic Derivatives Exchanges
  • A proven track record in selling IT solutions in the investment banking/capital markets sector, ideally with futures/options exposure
  • Reporting and Proposal writing skills for internal and external sales
  • 8 to 10 years track record in a similar sales position of which 5 years should have been in a sales management position;
  • Experience in driving a strategic sales process including sales forecasting and budgeting and importantly a track record in leading a sales team to achieve demanding sales targets;
  • Contacts at a senior level of key decision makers in our target market of investment banks and brokers across a range of business disciplines including trading, e-commerce, technical etc.
