Responsibilities

  • Monitor the company’s cash position and ensure hotel disbursement commitment can be met.
  • Maintain the company’s detailed accounts prepare monthly financial statements for the hotel.
  • Monitor capital expenditure and enforce budgetary control procedures.
  • Assist management in analyzing costs and controlling expenditure.
  • Scrutinize all cheques before presentation for signature and ensure that a proper purchase order and invoice with department head’s approval are attached.
  • Classify expenditures and allocate the account code on all petty cash vouchers and reimbursement to General Cashier.
  • Prepare the monthly forecast and annual financial budget package.
  • Monitor the monthend accounting closing and prepare the financial statement on a timely basis.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statement and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Keep track of fixed assets by active involvement in the yearly stocktaking and by monthly maintenance of the fixed asset registers.
  • To perform any additional ad hoc tasks as requested by management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with professional accounting qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience.
  • Experience in Hospitality Industry is preferred.
