The role will provide actuarial support to the Insurance Risk & Financial Management sub-team under the Financial Reporting and Management team on the monitoring and management of Company’s KPI performance and insurance / operating risks


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting regular experience studies and reporting exercises, identifying key risks to the business and potential opportunities.
  • Provide support on the operating assumption setting exercise and/or other ad-hoc experience monitoring projects / task force; Perform financial impact analysis for the proposed assumption changes on various financial bases.
  • Provide support on the organization of various insurance risk advisory committees (Persistency, Claims and Underwriting) and the preparation of relevant meeting materials / actuarial experience analysis.
  • Perform financial analyses of potential management actions and new initiatives to ensure resilience and KPI outperformance of the planned financial and commercial targets.
  • Provide support on the close monitoring of business performances of the company based on various Management Information reports / output as well as other ad-hoc financial management projects.


Job Requirements:

  • University graduate majoring in Actuarial Science or equivalent subjects
  • Completion or in good progress of preliminary examinations of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent.
  • Internship experience in actuarial field
  • Experience with Financial reporting (e.g. EEV, IFRS, Local Stat) and experience monitoring is preferred
  • Experience with UK with-profits management and economic capital (e.g. Solvency II) is a plus
  • Decent business and financial acumen
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, cautious, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skill in English
