To provide actuarial & technical support to immediate manager (include financial modeling and programming support etc.) and operational support, in various product pricing projects, user acceptance test, other project initiatives and ongoing product management.


Job Responsibilities

  • IFRS 17 project support – Provide technical support on IFRS 17 analysis and study assigned by the
  • IFRS 17 team leader and may closely work with BAU actuarial teams and finance team. This includes technical interpretation, financial analysis, and implementation of new process and systems for IFRS17.
  • Actuarial model development – Develop Prophet models or any other actuarial models to facilitate the financial and operational analysis of the IFRS 17 standard. Take part in the maintenance, development and enhancement of actuarial models, including the deterministic and stochastic
  • Prophet models. Ensure that a consistent set of actuarial models is being used for different purposes within the whole Actuarial department, and to reflect new management actions and new product features. Take part in the system solution design work for the full IFRS17 implementation work.
  • Technical advisory support – Assist in the construction of responses to technical enquiries from different stakeholders (senior management, regulators, regional office and the UK home office). Assist in process changes and implementation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in order to fulfill company and actuarial objectives and strategies. Assist in the maintenance of robust actuarial governance and compliance framework.


Job Requirements

  • Decent progress in actuarial exams
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in life insurance industry, preferably with financial reporting, economic capital (e.g. Solvency II) and experience with participating business.
  • Modeling experience with Prophet and stochastic modeling software (e.g. Prophet ALS) is a plus
  • A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good command of both spoken and written English.
