Manage the Capital Reporting team on the reporting of regulatory (incl. HK RBC), Solvency II (SII), and Economic Capital (ECap) results, as well as any other issues. Review and analyse key drivers in the results and communicate to management. Support regional office on any reporting requirements as part of BAU activities as well as the on-going development of HK RBC reporting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the production of regulatory reporting including returns to local regular, stress testing solvency monitoring / forecast, and any participation of HK RBC development (e.g. QIS, commentary, other analysis testing) and ensure the results are accurate and produced timely backed by adequate analysis and communication with stakeholders.
  • Participate in the SII and ECap reporting by managing the team to produce results (including any sensitivity tests) to meet the group requirements. Analyse and communicate results with stakeholders to ensure that key movements are identified, understood and monitored.
  • Manage the changes (e.g. methodology, assumption, model, etc.) within the reporting cycle and ensure the impacts are properly quantified.
  • Participate the improvements in actuarial procedures, processes and controls and ensure effective and efficient integration of improvements.
  • Supervision, guidance and coaching of subordinates on technical knowledge. Escalate any conflicts in staff and work requirements to ensure effective and efficient planning of resources.

Job Requirements

  • Fellow of Society of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial bodies.
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience with at least 1 years of managing tasks and individuals
  • Good knowledge in actuarial concepts, insurance accounting, economic capital, and ideally HK regulatory requirements.
  • Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills in both spoken and written English.
  • Proactive and able to perform multiple tasks when needed.
  • Prophet and stochastic modelling experience desirable
