Role Responsibilities
  • To market and introduce a full range of financial services and products which including cash management, investment, trade, treasury, investment, insurance, loan etc. to cater for business segment.
  • To achieve individual assets / liabilities and revenue targets through account uptiering.
  • To build a portfolio of corporate clients with a balance on risk and business opportunity.
  • To provide quality and professional advice to business owners on their various financial needs.
Strategy
  • Accountability for delivering financial performance objectives (revenues, costs and RoRWA)
  • Accountability for all other objectives for the management and development of client relationships, specifically compliance (AML, CDD) and credit risk
Business
  • Support client’s growth in every facet of their business with a customer-centric approach
  • Build long-term client relationship and maintain high level of client satisfaction
  • Management of underperform and tail accounts
  • RWA Management & reduction in sub-optimal RWA
Processes
  • Properly manage the portfolio with strong risk mitigation and high level of account conduct
  • Ensure credit, operational, legal, regulatory, reputational and compliance risks are managed in the highest standards of risk management
  • Ensure that there are no major surprises or losses arising from sloppy behaviour or unnecessary loose rivets
  • Provide high quality customer service on enquiry, transactions handling and offer operational solutions to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for document execution and limit activation
  • Prepare comprehensive and clearly written BCA for credit approval in a timely fashion
  • Promptly attend to excesses / bills referrals in accordance with the Bank's policy
  • Follow up closely with customers on submission of financials for timely preparation of analysis
  • Effective limits maintenance to avoid excesses due to system constraints
  • Ensure facility drawdown after approval in a timely manner
People & Talent
  • Coach / develop clerical to facilitate better utilization of resources
  • Risk Management
  • Proactively monitor excesses and communicate with customers in line with account strategy; seek proper approval for excesses; monitor periodic repayments
  • Monitor risk on a daily basis; ensure credit, reputation and compliance risks are held to the highest standards of risk management, ensure prompt reporting and take appropriate actions to deal with irregularities
  • Co-Management of CB accounts with GSAM
Key Activities
  • To proactively report any deterioration in financial performance/likely shortfall
  • Any events having an adverse impact on recoverability to be intimated to GSAM RM immediately (for accounts with group exposure larger than US$5m)
  • To manage sub-US$5m accounts that are credit graded CG12-14 diligently, in order to maximise recoveries and minimise losses for the bank, with due regard to the bank’s obligations to treat customers fairly and in a manner which exhibits good conduct
Governance
  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
  • Responsible for delivering ‘effective governance’; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner

Our Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
  • Preferably university graduates and/or - Relevant experience in sales and customer relationship building with a proven track record in dealing with corporate business
  • Role Specific Competencies
  • A good team member with ability to work independently and under high pressure
  • Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills
