Advisory - Financial Services Risk Management - Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic sourcing services related to regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering (AML), corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and internal audit, to our clients in financial services (FS) industry
  • Assist organizations to maintain effective and efficient controls, in order to manage organizational and strategic risks
  • Provide advisory services to functional management and Audit Committee on business risk profile and status or trend of related business internal controls
  • Conduct internal audits and special reviews on complex or high risk sites, in multiple disciplines across the business

 

Qualifications, Education and Certification

 

To qualify, candidates must have:

 

 

 

 

  • Must have experience working for a large bank (preferably a global bank) and/or a regulator (preferably SFC) as well as in wealth and asset management compliance and regulatory issues
  • Experience dealing with regulators and senior executives on regulatory matters
  • Knowledge of current and evolving regulations in the WAM space across Hong Kong and globally
  • Understanding of wealth and asset management industry and current banking landscape (challenges, impact of various regulations, areas of focus, etc.)
  • Strong business acumen; ability and confidence to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and, presentation) and ability to lead teams?
  • Self-motivating / a ‘go-getter’; ability to adapt quickly to new and unfamiliar situations
  • Versatile and willing to venture outside of comfort zone
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
