Advisory - Performance Improvement, Financial Services - IT Advisory - Manager (Digital Engineering)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative and practical designs that accounts for the end?to?end approach of a function that is in line with the business objectives?
  • Provide architecture and implementations that supports the most efficient and secure solutions meeting business needs and controlling operational risk
  • Experience of improving complex systems and working with business to solve problems using technology?
  • Experience of 'owning' the design of a major/large component of an application or software architecture?
  • Conducting design and architectural review with the wider architecture community?
  • Direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of processes and technologies?
  • Direct involvement in implementation support of foundational architecture services (e.g., CI/CD, automated testing, ..) to be used by development teams
  • Stay abreast of technology trends and advise IT and the business about potential benefits, impacts

Qualifications, Education and Certification

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Ability to breakdown and explain complex technical solutions to audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and technical capabilities?
  • Ability to analyze business requirement user stories and model it domain based services
  • Experience in designing complex distributed / service oriented / micro services style and cloud based systems, with focus on scalability, maintainability and extensibility
  • Experience in designing integrations between different systems, working with different teams and driving an agreement on the technologies and methods to use; in CI/CD technologies, concepts and tools; in at least one Cloud Based Platform (Cloud Foundry, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) and in developing cloud architecture and design, cloud business case, cloud security, network and storage design
  • Hands on using native cloud development framework such as spring boot, Netflix OSS, Spring cloud?
  • Working knowledge on using cloud PaaS platforms such as Pivotal cloud foundry, Redhat Open shift, IBM bluemix, Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Services
  • Good understanding of the key differences to architect and design enterprise cloud native solutions ( compare to traditional data center based solutions
  • Enthusiastic, persuasive and self?starter, ability to motivate team members?
  • Ability to lead engineering teams and resolve technical issues; a track record of delivering significant change which improves business effectiveness in sustainable ways?
  • Relevant industry certification (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Cloud Certified, Pivotal Certified, CISSP)
  • Exposure in front end technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, Angular.js, Backbone) is a plus
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English; Cantonese and Mandarin are ?an advantage
