The Asia Collection covers a wide range from technical products (waterproof jackets, UV control products, down products) to commodities (polar fleece, shirts, T-shirts) and accessories.

In Asia for over 20 years with a footprint of more than 300 points of sales, the fast-growing Asia region already represents over 40% of the company sales. Beside their strategic direct retail markets (China and Hong Kong with more than 200 stores), they are also expanding their distributors markets (South East Asia, Japan, Taiwan and Mongolia)

Today, for their growing distributors retail network, Aigle is putting their effort and focus in creating and strengthening a retailized wholesale strategy combining a strong sell-out focus and brand alignment.

They are looking for a high caliber profile for the newly created position of Retail Performance Manager Asia (based in their regional office in Hong Kong)

Objectives and responsibilities

Reporting directly to the VP Asia Marketing & Distribution and working very closely with different regional Aigle functions (Finance, Marketing and Merchandising, Retail marketing, business development…), you are acting as a trusted and influential interface with their distribution partners. You will bring them a solid rounded retail field support and expertise to elevate the brand retail performance at POS level and consequently sales revenue, profitability, brand equity: a win-win business situation!

You spend between 30% and 40% of your time in market with distributors and at their POS (visits, training, workshop…) to:

  • Build strong, trustful business relationship based on transparent 2 ways communication.
  • Work closely with the distributors’s managers (retail sales managers, brand managers, Visual Merchandising manager…
  • Agree on workable platform and system to enable sharing of sell through and inventory data and report.
  • Work closely with Aigle Asia Finance to help in reading and carrying out detailed data analysis (by SKUs, POS..) to enhance market’s understanding, and produce adapted retail practical action plan support.
  • Be present during buying Aigle session to fully understand the Aigle brand product mix expectation (merchandising mix, product management) and assess their understanding of Aigle’s expectations, their concerns and help to develop the right retail support.
  • Have solid knowledge of seasonal windows (around 6 a year) and be able to connect it with all other retail elements (Key looks, key SKUs, zoning...) and help the retail team on how to deliver the right store experience in line with the brand message.
  • Provide training support on various dimension (product management, sales to customer, brand message, customer services….
  • Support distribution partner to develop creative and innovative promotional strategy for unsold inventory (GWPs, Price awards winnings, VIPs programs, outlet, eCommerce flash sales...).
  • Develop a system of KPIs and measurement to evaluate the ROI and impact all carried out action on retail performance.
