Analyst, Settlements


What is the opportunity?

As the Analyst, Settlements, you will provide operational support for fixed income and central funding processing and settlement for Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in Hong Kong and Sydney.

What will you do?

  • Complete all daily processing and settlement tasks in a timely and accurate manner, following established procedures and policies of RBC.
  • Completes input and processing on both internal and external settlement systems. (i.e. RITS, Euroclear, Gloss, Exigo, NZ Clear)
  • Carefully review all inward and outward cash flows within strict daily timeframe.
  • Ensures daily matching of all deal confirmations in a timely manner.
  • Constant dealer and client liaison.
  • Timely and accurate completion of data entry in settlement systems.
  • Accurate maintenance of facility parameters and records in the back office.
  • Ensure appropriate storage and archival procedures are adopted for the correct retention and destructions of records.
  • Deal verifications.
  • Seek to mitigate and minimize risks inherent in the Operations Department by following agreed processes.
  • Corporate Actions, coupon and redemption for Fixed Income Securities.
  • Act as AUD and NZD domestic settlement agent for RBC Europe Limited
  • Cash Funding and End of Day reconciliations.

What do you need to succeed?


  • Knowledge of Market products
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English) required due regional support structure
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good PC skills


  • Degree educated
