Analyst - Settlements

What is the opportunity?

As the Analyst, Settlements, you will provide operational support for the Treasury Services and Foreign Exchange processing and settlement for Royal Bank of Canada (Singapore, Sydney and Hong Kong).

 

What will you do?

  • Responsible for efficient and timely processing of all Treasury products (DCI, FX Options, FX ACDC, FX and MM) and remittances.
  • Monitor all inward and outward RTGS/RITS/Austraclear and other cash flows within strict daily timeframe.
  • Responsible for effective management and resolution of simple and complex discrepancies of payments/ receipts/ trade processing with clients or counterparties.
  • Ensure trades confirmation are matched and any non-receipts are follow-up with tracers.
  • Provide accurate funding projection, Nostro Reporting to the desk to cover all positions in the market.
  • Ensure all accounting entries are processed and updated accurately.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance to the bank rule, circulars, laid-down procedures and local requirements.
  • Provide relief support and other duties as assigned on all functions performed within the team and across the department.
  • Ensure EOD checks are conducted daily with any outstanding issues identified and action on the same day.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and within timelines while demonstrating calm, logical approach to the situation.
  • Good time management abilities.
  • Can work well as an individual as well as within a team environment, displaying good interpersonal and team skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English) required due regional support structure.

 

Nice-to-have

  • Degree educated
  • Knowledge of Market products
  • Good PC skills
