Analyst (Temporary Appointment) (Ref. 230106039)
[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee is mainly responsible for developing applications for providing innovation technologies and solutions to academic Units in the University. The appointee will be required to:

(a) undertake system development duties including programming, testing, and related system maintenance, enhancement and support tasks;

(b) assist in the user requirements analysis and system design;

(c) prepare related system specifications and documentations; and

(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline;

(b) knowledge of and experience in developing solutions using NodeJS, React, ExpressJS, SQL and NoSQL databases, HTML, CSS, as well as knowledge of React Native for mobile app development;

(c) strong analytical skills, good interpersonal and communication skills;

(d) the ability to work under pressure and be proactive; and

(e) proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
