APAC Strategic Products - COO Structuring (ASO-VP) Hong Kong

Your field of responsibility

As part of the role, your responsibilities include:

  • As a Product COO, provide business management support to the Asia Pacific Strategic Products (ASP) Business, consisting of trading, syndication and structuring personnel responsible for the structuring, distribution and risk management of Financing products
  • Acting as the partner between the Business and other functions within the bank, such as Compliance, General Counsel, Finance, Platform, Product Control and Risk functions with opportunities to interact across all levels of the bank in driving new business, regulatory initiatives and enhancement projects
  • Be familiar with the ASP governance framework, the controls and business process to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies, to resolve any risk, operational incident and control deficiencies identified, to coordinate and facilitate regulatory enquires and inspections, internal audits and credit risk reviews
  • Be familiar with financial forecasting and annual budgeting cycle in close collaboration with functional partners to deliver a high degree of accurate, controlled and transparent reporting process

Your skills and experience

To excel in this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

  • 5-10 years of relevant business experiences across Investment Banking or Private Banking businesses would be advantageous
  • Proficient in Structured Lending / Lombard Financing business with good understanding of Fixed Income, Equity and Derivatives products
  • Familiarity with the Front to Back processes across Investment Banking & Private Banking businesses is a plus, with keen interest to understand the platforms being used
  • Analytical and possessing basic accounting concept would be a plus
  • An ability to learn quickly with an investigative approach, thinking ahead, finding answers and being engaging in growing with the ability to see issues at a high level and in detail
  • Being a motivated self-starter, having the ability to independently analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate course of action without direct management assistance
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong work ethic, along with strong presentational skills with the ability to clearly define and articulate business performance & strategy
  • Resilience at work, keep up and prioritize well in a dynamic as well as demanding environment and under tight time deadlines
  • Possessing strong communication interpersonal ability to coordinate with internal colleagues of different levels
  • Able to collaborate and coordinate with a matrix of business partners with diverse skill sets, across front to back functions and across regions
  • Dedication for improving, building and adopting change, along with you having a good work ethic and loving working in a dynamic work environment
