Art Director

The Role
The Art Director is required to work hand-in-hand with Head of Marketing, primarily to generate the original idea, lead the art direction and present campaigns to top management, secondly to groom and coach the juniors, help manage the execution and production.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a creative brief and turn it into a compelling story;
• Produce innovative ideas for campaigns in line with the creative brief provided;
• Translate marketing campaign ‘Big Idea’ into visual brand identity of our clients;
• Produce key visuals for pitches and marketing campaign;
• Translate a briefing into a visual statement using presentation tools such as PowerPoint, Google slide or Keynote;
• Able to develop visual concepts which adhere to any brand style guideline and restrictions provided;
• Work resourcefully, offer variety of alternative solutions to creative problems;
• The ability to present your work clearly and confidently in front of internal stakeholders;
• Hands-on working is needed, be ready to jump in with the highest level of design quality;
• Perform ad-hoc projects where necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of art directing and design work experience;
• Strong conceptual skills with a passion for big ideas, regional experience is an advantage (Please submit with your portfolio togather with your application.);
• Hungry to produce high quality work;
• Solid technical art direction with a keen eye for detail;
• Be interested in popular culture, social media and be up to date with current advertising trends and techniques;
• Ability to shift priorities and navigate between competing deadlines while managing multiple projects of varying sizes, topic and type;
• Innovative, energetic and proactive, proven self-starter and a strong team player;
• Exceptional art/design and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and organisational skills;
• Excellent command of English (native level would be an advantage) and Cantonese is required, both spoken and written;
• Immediately available is preferred.
