Art Gallery Marketing Executive/Manager

Position overview:

Pearl Lam Galleries are looking for a Marketing Executive/Manager, with particular expertise in social media to head and manage our digital communications.  You will be responsible for heading our online brand strategy, content creation, and updating the gallery website.  Reporting to the Senior Director, you will assist to build the company's brand image, expand our client base, and aid sales through our marketing efforts.

Following a rigorous programme, Pearl Lam Galleries presents museum-quality exhibitions that re-evaluate and challenge perceptions of cultural practice in Asia.  With a thoughtfully balanced roster of Chinese and international artists, the Gallery is strategic in it's curation, positioning itself as an educator.  The Gallery's flagship space is located in the historic Pedder Building in Hong Kong whilst the Shanghai space lies in the heart of the Bund District.  With a team of international staff, Pearl Lam Galleries' reach is global, having presentations at major international art fairs.

Working Days:  Mon - Sat
Working Hours:  10:00 - 19:00 (with one hour lunch time)

  • Plan, execute, and manage social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Weibo, WeChat)
  • Create original, creative and engaging content for all social media channels
  • Track social media engagement, set customer service initiatives, and drive new customers
  • Work closely with our exhibitions and sales teams for seamless coordination and execution
  • Design and edit marketing materials (evite, e-catalogue, promotional video, photographing events and fairs)
  • Update website and social media channels
About you:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing
  • Self-motivated and takes immediate responsibility for the role and tasks
  • Social media wiz and excellent communicator with a proven track record
  • Proficient and experienced copywriter (writing & AV)
  • Excellent in written English & Chinese (Traditional & Simplified Chinese)
  • Highly organised and efficient team player who can work seamlessly with all departments
  • Experience or knowledge of fine art or the art industry is preferred
  • Proficiency in Apple Mac, Word, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier
  • Dress Code - BLACK
