Job Description

As a senior leader in Project Execution, you'll lead high-performing teams in envisioning and creating complex technology solutions across the firm. This prominent position combines strategic thinking - about industry trends, firm-specific initiatives and relevant technology - with a deep understanding for how to develop and implement programs that can be rolled out globally, and across multiple lines of business. You'll work closely with executive leadership across the firm to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the entire firm. Meanwhile, you'll ensure that your Project Execution colleagues have the resources and guidance they need to deliver timely and relevant solutions. As a key professional in JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global technology group, you'll have the opportunity to work with some of the industry's leading talent in developing programs with broad and lasting implications.

The successful candidate will drive various IT projects and provide support for various initiatives and any associated business transformation projects. Those projects include core banking solutions implementation, artificial intelligence application to financial service and many strategy projects for the organization. Flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt within a dynamic environment are required for this position.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple IT projects for objectives and changes delivery to meet business requirements
  • Work closely with the Business, Technology and Support Partners to develop and execute solutions to support the direction and goals of the Business
  • Be accountable for monitoring the details and status of projects, prepare standard and ad hoc updates and reports
  • Identify and resolve project issues, effectively escalate decisions and issues, and establish quality measures and standards that ensure milestones are met, projects are successfully executed, and stated benefits are realized
  • Ensure projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that objectives conform to line of business standards, operations objectives, user requirements and client's needs
  • Effectively manage project scope / changes, functioning as an escalation point to ensure impact is communicated and approved
  • Develop presentations and organize information and data in support of project tracking
  • Work with technical teams on sprint planning, backlog prioritization, change readiness, and other areas of Agile process
  • Be responsible for developing business knowledge and using that information to support/enhance the quality of all project phases

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires business project experience with some experience working on technology projects preferred
  • Expert in Resource Management; Technological, Organizational and/or Operational Change Management; Portfolio Management; Conflict Resolution; Negotiation; Budget/Financial Management, including Business Case Completion; Controls; and Partnership and Influence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and execute projects of various sizes and complexities, multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proven strong financial and operational management discipline, including managing direct and indirect expenses and having a strong understanding of product economics and cost drivers, cost allocations and recoveries
  • Must have strong Project Management discipline, techniques and planning skills
  • Excellent understanding of project life cycles and project methodology
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills with impeccable executive communication skills
  • Works independently and can direct the activities of other team members
  • Mastery of MS Office products and the use of SharePoint/Jira/Confluence as project repository
  • Fluent in Mandarin / Cantonese and English
