Asset Management Operations - Service Delivery Associate - Hong Kong

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise across Fund Accounting work stream
  • Act as an Escalation point for Internal Business partners & Outsource Vendor.
  • Coordinate audit engagements with Auditors, Trustees, service provider and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure that the semi-annual and annual reports for pooled funds comply with regulatory requirements and deadlines
  • Perform oversight and coordination on regulatory and internal reporting, distributions and fund fees
  • Perform Daily Quality Control/ Reasonableness checks to validate and demonstrate accuracy across Vendor services, with focus to NAV Production and SLA Monitoring
  • Quickly understand potential business impacts/ errors ensuring Root Cause Analysis and action plans are understood and appropriate
  • Effectively communicate, escalation and record of errors.
  • Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures, performing periodic reviews with the Service Delivery manager
  • Where required, assist with audit related activities and fund documentation reviews
  • Analyze and report upon trends
  • Identify areas of opportunity for ongoing improvement to controls and operational efficiencies - perform the appropriate level of analysis and present findings to Service Delivery manager.
  • Where required, Project Manage Initiatives to drive change

Qualifications / Skills

  • The successful candidate will be a proven team player and self-starter with strong operational skills with the following skills:
  • University graduate, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional qualification or big 4 audit experience is preferred
  • +5 years relevant working experience within the financial services industry within an Asset Management or Securities Services Organization essential
  • Understanding of business and management functions in Fund Accounting essential/ Middle Office preferred
  • Strong technical, including Accounting Principles & Theories and thorough understanding of securities types and their accounting treatments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to maintain good stakeholder relationships
  • Willing to accept challenges, changes and embrace cross-functional rotation
  • Detail minded with good problem solving skill and ability to work under pressure and multiple tight timeframes
  • Proven ability to establish and prepare key metrics to measure workflow capacity, system efficiency and effectiveness of control.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.
