Asset & Wealth Management, Technology and Operations Finance and Business Management Associate

The Associate role is helping to manage the day to day running of the Technology and Operations team in terms of Strategy, Workforce Management, Budgets, Reporting and Communication.

Responsibilities include:
  • Executive Level Presentations on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks, etc.
  • Provide Senior Manager proper management reporting, communication and client reporting, focusing on the overall business unit performance against objectives. Proactively highlight issues and risks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies to completion.
  • Partner with Senior Management to provide insight and transparency around the technology expense base, delivery schedule, and efficiency and resource agendas
  • Assist in driving overall strategic agendas and prioritization process
  • Partner with senior technology managers in building financial plans with associated budget/forecast/variance analysis and assist in understanding the inputs to and conclusions that can be drawn from, the analysis of performance vs. plan and financial forecasting.
  • Resource Management - Develop multiyear staffing plans and understanding resource profiles
  • Help drive annual planning and organize required reporting for business review sessions. Articulate plan - roll forwards, initiative descriptions
Key Skills
5+ Years experience in partnering in either a Finance or Business Management organization. Demonstration of ability to multi-task and handle various competing priorities. To have excellent inter-personnel skills handling interactions at all levels of seniority.
  • Strong presentation skills and excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills are required, including previous experience of Excel Pivot Table and Data Analysis techniques
  • Ability to engage and partner with analytical senior stakeholders
  • Self-assured and personable attitude: ability to face off to business technologists at all levels, influence, handle difficult messages and resolve conflicts
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, good relationship building at all levels of the hierarchy
  • Strong team player; Comfortable in a highly process-focused environment; Ability to work under pressure
  • Strategic vision whilst retaining strong attention to detail and balancing short term requirements.
