Assistant Actuarial Manager- Capital and Investment Strategies (Management Actions)

Lead capital projects relating to the development and implementation of the Hong Kong RBC capital regime, with a focus on the impact of management actions on Prudential Hong Kong financials under RBC and the impact of RBC on investment, reinsurance and product strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead reviews of Prudential’s management actions and their continued appropriateness under RBC, and the subsequent impact of RBC on PHKL’s business strategy
  • Manage Prophet model enhancements related to HK RBC and assess the financial impacts of these changes on key company metrics
  • Communicate the business and financial implications of the revamped management actions and changes to business strategy to various stakeholders
  • Design and implement a ready reckoner for ensuring that PHKL has a predictive capability for RBC under a range of economic and business conditions
  • Provide training and guidance to junior team members

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree majoring in Actuarial Science or related fields.
  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial body
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Strong stochastic modelling experience (e.g. Prophet ALS)
  • Experience in risk-based capital framework and reporting is plus
  • Proficient in Prophet with knowledge of stochastic modeling
  • Familiarity with with-profits business and UK reporting standards an advantage
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Officer
