Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible on production of capital reporting (e.g. Solvency II) deliverables; work closely with the regional office and the UK office in actual reporting and forecasting of balance sheet and capital measures
  • Perform checks on inputs into the development and delivery of the internal model and financial reporting process, including but not limited to the checking of stochastic model results and the calibration of inputs for internal capital model
  • Perform analysis of fund movement and prepare related commentary, to ensure capital reporting (e.g. Solvency II) results are fully understood and explained to various stakeholders.
  • Provide capital reporting on economic capital metrics including Ecap, Solvency II ad ICA+
  • Work closely with the Finance and Par-Fund & Investment teams to ensure model and systems deliverables are incorporated with financial reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with the Regional Compliance team on implementation of Solvency II methodologies and frameworks
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Solvency II models to ensure compliance with Solvency II requirements through negotiation with the Region Compliance team

Job Requirements:

  • University degree holder
  • Fellow of Society of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial bodies
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant working experience
  • Good knowledge in actuarial concepts, insurance accounting, HKFRS/IFRS, tax and insurance regulatory requirements in HK
  • Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Proactive, able to work under tight deadlines/pressure and perform multiple tasks when needed
  • Experience of working with multiple internal and external stakeholders including managing expectations
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks and assigned staff members
  • Prophet experience desirable
