Assistant Analyst, Supply Chain

Position Summary 

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain in the Hong Kong office, but will be expected to provide regular support to the Supply Chain team in New Albany, Ohio and support broad-based supply chain initiatives.

Responsibilities 

  • Support store opening logistics and intra-county flow of product to the store locations while planning and coordinating shipments with 3PL.
  • Assist with Trade Compliance issues by making import/export declarations as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with logistics requirements and resolve issues with service providers.  Lead local team in carrier claims management issues.  Review freight costs, transit performance and other key metrics with local providers.  Assist US Home Office Transportation and Stores organization to resolve inbound store transportation claims.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to the US Home Office Transportation team and provide coverage that meets or exceeds expectations regarding the timeliness and accuracy of Asia store deliveries. 
  • Assist with the implementation of new transportation strategies designed to optimize service and reduce costs.
  • Communicate with DC Operations, Store Operations, International Transportation Team, and Asset Protection Team to identify and prioritize any issues or challenges
  • Train A&F’s APAC Vendors (new and existing) on Supply Chain information systems while providing support and clarification for vendor-related data issues close to the source of the problem.
  • Act as a liaison with US Home Office Supply Chain project teams and the Vendors to resolve EDI compliance and data integrity issues
  • Provide analytical support to assist Home Office in negotiating rates and contracts with ocean and air carriers.
  • Approval and documentation of international PO’s and Invoices
  • Provide guidance and support regarding APAC regulatory issues to various teams within A&F, including but not limited to Quality Assurance and Personal Care.

 Qualifications

  • Literate in basic Supply Chain software applications
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented. Ability to work independently and build consensus among several different departments within the Supply Chain.
  • Distribution and Transportation experience for Retail and DTC fulfillment
  • Project management experience as the lead, driving results with multiple business partners, achieving project timelines.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written (English and Mandarin)
  • Proficiency in computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Travel up to 15%
  • 2-3 years in related field or industry (more experience will be considered as Associate Analyst)
  • Bachelor Degree required
