Assistant Buyer (Retail)

Responsibilities:

  • To manage all aspects of the buying process for the designated portfolio
  • Develop and maintain long term relationships with suppliers by emphasizing mutual benefits
  • Coordinate and follow up with suppliers/vendors for ordering and shipment issues
  • Prepare reports and analyses for monitoring the effectiveness of the product and pricing strategies
  • Evaluate sales performance & inventory, create action plans to push the sales
  • Maintain and update product database
  • Connected with retail operations to understand consumer needs and support after sales service

Requirements:  

  • Min 2 years solid buying experience, preferably in Homeware or furniture related
  • Work experience in retail operation will be an advantage
  • Good team player with Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, detail oriented, well-organized with proactive attitude
  • Excellent command of written & spoken English & Chinese
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially in MS Excel
  • Work inWong Chuk Hang (5 minutes walk from WCH station)
