Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customized risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

Retail Credit Risk supports businesses to achieve the optimal profits within the Bank's risk appetite by reviewing and monitoring the retail credit portfolio through policies, procedures, systems and predictive models, and managing problem loans effectively.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Collections Manager.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead a team of staff to manage delinquent accounts of the retail unsecured loan portfolios; to perform account maintenance and provide administration supports
  • Take legal proceedings against debtors by instructing external legal firms; representing the Bank to attend court hearing and liaison with Official Receiver’s Office / Outside Trustee on bankruptcy related matters
  • Follow up and manage deceased, bankruptcy accounts and other accounts with court orders
  • Conduct risk account review and propose mitigation actions through regular or ad hoc review
  • Assist in the process of Supplier Risk Management and prepare statistical reports for management review
  • Handle customer complaints and perform necessary investigation

 

Requirements

  • University degree in a related discipline OR other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in debt recovery / unsecured lending and mortgage business, with exposure to credit control / administration
  • Strong self-motivation, good interpersonal, communication, credit analytic and supervisory skills
  • Good knowledge of PC application software such as MS Word, Excel and Access
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
