eGateway Global Ltd. operates a variety of online retail channels for a wide range of retail products for consumers in North America, UK, Australia, New Zealand etc. We specialize in sourcing, distribution and retail marketing for all our products. Our team consists of approx. 80 people spread across Asia and North America. Our headquarter based in Hong Kong. We are a young and vibrant company that is rapidly growing.

We are now looking for a passionate and self-driven person to join our team in Hong Kong.

As an Assistant e-commerce manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Support product sourcing process by shopping competition, understanding industry trends, reviewing customer requests and vendor new product recommendations
  • Grow assortment through addition of new products that meet the assortment criteria
  • Assist with item set up, maintenance and categorization
  • Support assortment needs through SKU rationalization, balancing new items with items that become irrelevant over time, ensuring the digital shelf always meets our customers’ needs
  • Manage current website navigation, classification process and planning, constantly monitoring improvement and planning iterations
  • Work with in-house technology teams to conceive and implement front- and back-end enhancements to make merchandising the site easier and improve user experience, working as a stake-holder for various site sections
  • Accurately prepares and makes recommendations on detailed sales, turnover, customer relations reports and other reports as needed to ensure operational excellence
  • Deliver a suite of reports to the top management on measuring site performance including sales, conversion rate, traffic, etc
  • Takes action and trouble shoots all system and process issues including communication and follows up with appropriate departments such as IT and Human Resources
  • Initiate, manage and implement new project for E-COM accounts, logistics and transportation network optimization
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Scheduling staff to provide all workstations with adequate staffing to achieve daily goals
  • Works with Shopify and App providers to resolve issues / needs
  • Support special projects as needed

What we are looking for:

  • High level understanding of website architecture, best practices, current trends and conversion tactics
  • Solid experience of Shopify preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant management experience
  • Excellent attention to detail including the ability to flawlessly proof-read site copy and correct errors
  • Ability to grasp technological concepts and “light" web programming preferred
  • Strong business sense and analytical skills
  • Independent and strong communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
