Assistant Engineer (Ref. 220929005-IE)
The appointee will be required to:
(a) facilitate student learning and development, and to assist in pedagogy development;
(b) assist in research support and knowledge transfer activities;
(c) assist in conducting essential operations in the assigned Stream; and
(d) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Centre or his/her delegates.
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Construction Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline;
(b) good hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains: construction practice such as concreting, brickwork, formwork, scaffolding and plumbing, building services systems, Building Information Modelling (BIM), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks;
(c) good communication skills; and
(d) a good command of both written and spoken English, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage.
Possession of knowledge of some of the following areas will be an advantage: virtual reality, simulation, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence.
