Assistant Front Office Manager

  • Assist Front Office Manager in supervising the activities of the section heads to maintain efficient Front Office operations and services
  • Perform daily administrative works and supervise grooming and working behavior of associates to ensure work standards are met and maintained
  • Establish and maintain an effective cost control system in order to maintain proper inventory levels necessary for the efficient operation of the department
  • Responsible for the training and coaching of the associates
  • Plan and administer duty roster of Duty Managers
  • Monitor and evaluate the associate’s performance to improve productivity and efficiency
  • Resolve all guest complaints in a prompt and professional manner and in accordance with established service recovery guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and return business
  • Oversee the VIP guest process including, but not limited to, reviewing VIP reservation and ensuring smooth check-in/ check-out
  • Adhere to the emergency procedures in the event of a fire, crank calls, bomb threat, flooding and typhoon etc
  • Maintain close supervision of all happenings in the hotel lobby and other public areas
  • Periodically inspect all Front and Back of the house areas to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of our guests
  • Maintain good communication and working relationships with all hotel departments
  • Investigate all guests and employee accidents and report the circumstance to management
  • Deputize Front Office Manager in his / her absence to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • Act as Manager on Duty during the absence of Management or Department Heads to ensure smooth and orderly running of the Hotel
  • Act as the Duty Manager when required
  • Perform special duties as assigned by management


  • Diploma or above in hospitality management or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the managerial level of Front Office and with 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity with hotel is preferable
  • Strong leadership with excellent communication skill and ability in setting up service standards and quality system
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken in English, Mandarin and Cantonese,  knowledge in other languages is an advantage
  • Positive thinking and self-motivated. Able to work under pressure and managing changes
  • Well organized with good leadership and detail-minded
