Ensure the Credit Execution Centre’s smooth and efficient functioning in support of the various business units’ credit business, including but not limited to management of credit execution / verification/ documentation, line input, credit risk reporting processes and risk limit monitoring.
Act as the key contact point on credit policy and risk management related matters. Provide inputs and guidance in the incorporation of such policies within the local risk management framework.
Ensure that the division is in compliance with applicable regulatory and supervisory requirements as well as various internal risk management policies and guidelines.
Assist in leading the establishment, implementation, review and improvement of the risk governance/ management framework for the Bank.
Oversee the development of risk assessment tools, processes and procedures as appropriate to the Credit Execution Centre.
Assist in supporting the Board Level Risk Committee meetings and its functional committees in its overall risk oversight of the Bank.
Act as the key contact in support of research projects and audit exercises of the Head Office and mainland Chinese regulators.
Supervise subordinates and provide them with appropriate coaching/ guidance to ensure the Division’s deliverables are in compliance with legal and regulatory and ethical standards, of the required quality and in adherence to the Bank’s corporate values, risk management policies and service standards.
Be responsible for the planning and execution of projects as assigned by the Bank’s management team from time to time to facilitate the development of the bank while balancing risk considerations.
Requirements:
University degree in business / risk management/ legal or related disciplines
Over 15 years of experience in credit/risk/ legal discipline, including not less than 3 years of experience in a manager role
In-depth knowledge of PRC regulations/ supervisory guidelines, and risk management setting of Chinese banks
Strong credit, legal, analytical, communication and negotiation skills
Strategic minded with good business acumen
Pragmatic with strong motivation for results
Strong leadership and people management skills
