Assistant General Manager of Actuarial Department – Capital and Modelling

China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the capital management tasks and projects including the development plans for capital management and allocation, regulatory sybmission and HK RBC development
  • Lead and conduct risk assessments for internal management, group and regulatory reporting including the ORSA
  • Lead the actuarial modelling for enhancements and maintenance and provide related support and solution to other BUs
  • Manage and assist to complete any capital management project and coordinate with external parties, if any
  • Drive and involve in the related process for internal governance
  • Provide guidance to the team in terms of the development of capital regime, improvement of risk metrics and related internal policies, and other projects

Requirements:

  • Degree holder with 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in life insurance industry
  • Fellow of a recognized actuarial institute
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Good interpersonal, communication, planning, people management skills
  • Open and proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in actuarial software (e.g. Prophet, RAFM) or experience in economic scenario generation (ESG) is an advantage
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Actuarial Manager
