A hands-on and technical oriented Assistant Infrastructure Manager position. Responsible to supervise a small technical team, as well as the design/ architecture/ troubleshoot/ BAU of the company's infrastructure environment.
Our client is a well-recognised consumer product brand, they manufacture and sell both consumable and high-end electronic products. To cope with the team's expansion and strategic needs, a new position has been created between the layers of Senior Infrastructure Manager and Systems Engineers, with objectives to drive the execution of infrastructure projects, BAU responsibilities, system performance review/ enhancement and etc.
Administer IT infrastructure systems and perform routine maintenance duties. Act as the point of escalation for resolving more complex technical incidents and issues
Perform system installations, configurations and migration duties apart from other BAU initiatives
Ensure that the IT infrastructure environment is inline with the company's security standard and/ or other industrial and professional standards
Involve in systems migration and deployment projects, and to act as the project lead for infrastructure scopes/ areas
Collect feedback from business units/ management at times to understands their requirements, to propose improvement plans, and as well to initiate the enhancement projects
Prepare and maintain documentations, from workflow to configuration guide and etc.
Lead small infrastructure team to maintain the availability of IT infrastructure and to work on project deployments
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/IT/related discipline
A minimum 5 years working experience in managing a large-scale infrastructure environment
Experience in Linux/ Windows Servers (Windows Server 2008/ 2012, etc.), VMware, Lotus Domino, Citrix, general network devices and etc.
Track record in Office 365 migration would be an advantage
Familiar with managing external vendors, IT support operations, and able to communicate with users across all levels
Great project management and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
Team player with good interpersonal skills
This position is suited to an individual who has strong technical skills and hands-on infrastructure experience, and is keen to take up a more responsibilities to have a glimpse of team supervision and overall planning
