Assistant Manager, Business Banking Acquisition (SME Loan)

Reporting to Senior Manager, Business Banking Acquisition, you are expected to e xplore new business opportunities in SME segment to generate lending businesses and revenues for the Bank.


  • Work towards KPI target by acquiring SME loan business and CASA deposit balance
  • Build and manage sales pipeline effectively by generating new leads from own network and working closely with branches to identify SME loan opportunities.
  • Conduct need assessment to map suitable financial products/service to meet customers’ needs and identify up-selling and cross-selling opportunities for Retail Banking Business.
  • Follow through the whole loan application process, from application submission to loan drawdown.
  • Ensure KYC/CDD compliance for all new to bank and existing customers and exercise risk assessment for new customers by following all necessary procedure of KYC.
  • Prepare credit proposal and conduct regular review to ensure credit quality by following the Bank’s policy and procedures.
  • Comply with customer data protection, regulatory conduct, compliance requirements and practices as defined by internal and external requirements.
  • Achieve and maintain excellent service quality to SME Business Banking customer and handle customer enquiries in a professional way to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Incumbent Requirements:

  • University degree in business Management/ Finance/ Related disciplines preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience in business banking, with at least 3 years’ experience in commercial lending or SME lending with proven sales record.
  • Sound knowledge in commercial credit, product and services with strong compliance mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, resilience, customer-centric, with good teamwork spirit.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage.
  • Relevant insurance licensing (IIQE Paper 1, 2, 3) advantageous.
