The collection strategy and governance team is a centre of excellence and is integral to the collection team in implementation of sustainable collections and recovery operations to deliver on operational and loss performance, productively, outstanding rationalization and controls.

Functional Management
Lead daily and weekly collection reporting on a timely basis with high level of accuracy.
Formulate, maintain and execute collection strategies, policies and procedure.
To ensure effective portfolio monitoring mechanisms are in place, including early warning mechanisms and contingency plans
Processes, Operations and Governance
Ensure compliance of regulatory requirement and internal policies for all collection activities.
Drive conduct risk agenda in the collection department by ensuring frequent engagement with the who team on
key conduct item and engaging in the country conduct forum.
To ensure good control mechanisms are in place and to ensure satisfactory audit clearance.
Tools and Technology
Champion continuous process improvements, up skill collection techniques, upgrade collection tools and optimize collections systems
Lead collection agenda in country and group level system and change projects to ensure seamless transition for collection processes.
Making optimal use of all collection tools and using analytical and data segmentation to enhance collection efficiency.

Our Ideal Candidate
At least 3 years of functional experience in the areas of Risk Management/Credit Bureau/Data Analytics.
Good communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge in Bank’s operation process and systems are preferable
Proficiency in SAS and/or Python coding language is required.
Prior experience in a strategy and/or collection support role is an added advantage.
