Reports to: Group Safety Manager - Operational Safety
Department: Group Safety and Operational Risk Management (GSORM)

Role Introduction:
Assist all aspects of the GSORM’s operational safety program in CX operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine review (including assessment review and closure) of various safety reports submitted to GSORM.
  • Participate in CX Flight Operational Safety Action Group (FOPSAG) / CX Engineering Safety Action Group (ENGSAG).
  • Conduct proactive monitoring of the safety events which are relevant to CX operations. Extract lesson learnt from these events and share with appropriate (internal) stakeholders and parties.
  • Participate in the investigation of safety incidents and make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Track the safety actions arising from investigations / routine safety assessments and ensure they are implemented / closed in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Participate in safety meeting(s) and provide administrative supports as required.
  • Assist in conducting safety risk assessment (SRA) as required.
  • Contribute to the safety promotion program and provide continuous input to the safety publications in conjunction with the Groups Safety Manager GSM - OSSS.
  • Facilitate safety-training programs and briefings as required.
  • Undertake safety duties or projects as directed by GSM-OS or HGSS



  • Broad operational knowledge and experience in the functions of the organization (e.g. training management, aircraft operations, and quality assurance).
  • Good analytical skills with a solid background in data analysis.
  • Good cross-section team-working, planning and communication skills.
  • Excellent command of English (both spoken and written).
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.


  • Tertiary qualification in safety related field.
  • SMS and Aviation Accident Investigation.
  • Sound knowledge of safety & risk management principles and practices.
  • Experience in safety and compliance.


  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in airline industry or related industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years in managerial role.
