Assistant Manager - Leadership Skill Training (Permanent/2-Year Contract)

We are looking for a high caliber professional to join the Faculty of Leadership Skill of CLP Power Learning Institute.

Reporting to the Deputy Director - CLP Power Learning Institute, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Formulate and regularly review the non-technical skills and development strategy, develop and implement the training plan and solutions upon ongoing competency assessment, training needs analysis, monitoring and evaluation to align with business needs
  • Manage a team in the provision of non-technical training and knowledge management (e.g. progression supervisory training & IT system applications training) at optimal cost and excellent quality for target groups of CLP Power employees
  • Act as a representative of the training department to provide input and feedback on overall training activities including vendor assessment, OA establishment and training effectiveness in the scope of Learning Institute delivery
  • Liaise with line managers and senior management at CLP in the development, such as on mass roll out of company-wide training initiatives, implementation and review of strategies and initiatives in training and development programs
  • Develop and implement effective mechanisms to identify training needs & training strategies in the areas of responsibilities, integrate the mechanisms into processes used to develop training programs and the methods utilized to evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Develop and motivate subordinates to maintain up-to-date expertise and keep abreast of the developing market trend for the provision of quality training solutions
  • Identify critical knowledge requirements and formulate solutions/initiatives for knowledge retention and personnel succession
  • Review and formalize the structure and decision models for different forms of Knowledge Management activities to ensure they are conducted in a governed manner while balancing the interest of stakeholders
  • Provide subject expertise advice on non-technical training curriculum design and Knowledge Management related activities

Requirements:

  • A recognized Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management / Training and Development / Psychology or related disciplines; or
  • A recognized Bachelor Degree in Engineering discipline, plus the following:
    • MHKIE or equivalent qualification
    • Executive Diploma in Learning & Development (HKMA) or equivalent
  • At least 6 years of experience in relevant field
  • Experience in managing and liaising with training services providers would be an advantage
  • Experience in KM implementation or similar related activities including carrying out KM related activities, content management, change management and creation of knowledge sharing platform would be an advantage
