Process & approve Claims (both major & minor claims), assist in higher approval of claims exceeding assessors’ authority, provide agency enquiry support, participate in departmental projects to enhance the operational efficiency and supervise subordinates in handling daily operational issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Claims within own claims authority and make prudent recommendation to senior management for those claims exceeding own authority limit
  • Provide close supervision on subordinate(s) assigned to make sure their performance is up to the best practice standard, give coaching / mentoring to uplift their technical & soft skills to meet the company strategic needs
  • Monitor the claims operational flow in terms of claims turnaround time, hotline service and quality of outgoing claims correspondence
  • Provide claims support in product development / enhancement
  • Take part in departmental / company projects where necessary
  • Handle enquiries and complaints from customers, agents (including telephone and walk-in where necessary), other insurance regulatory bodies and internal staff

Job Requirements:

  • Degree from a recognized University
  • Professional qualification in Life Insurance including FLMI (Fellow, Life Management Institute), ALHC (Associate, Life and Health Claims), ACS (Associate, Customer Service) would be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years claims experience in individual life insurance
  • Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent written and verbal English and Cantonese with knowledge of Mandarin an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese typing PC skills in MS Word
