Assistant Manager, Marketing Communications in the Office of Institutional Advancement


Duties:  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Communications, the appointee will be responsible to implement various marketing communications activities for the School, which include digital and content marketing, advertising, publication, design management and event organization together with some administrative duties as assigned.  The main duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • To handle the administration of various campaigns from setting of strategic goals to generating performance report.
  • To collaborate with internal counterparts and stakeholders to develop integrated marketing campaigns for School branding, full-time and part-time programmes.
  • To liaise with agencies, media vendors, and design houses to deliver quality communications materials within timeline and budget.
  • To oversee and manage all aspects of the publication production of prospectus.
  • To implement digital marketing to enhance audience’s online experience and to optimize performance.
  • To participate in writing, translation, editing and proofreading of all kinds of communications materials such as social media content, eNews and brochures in English and Chinese.
  • To write effectively in appropriate tone and manner for different purposes including documentation and correspondence.


  • Bachelor’s degree holder in Communications, Branding, Marketing or related disciplines.
  • 8 years’ relevant working experience in related fields, with at least 2-year experience in a supervisory role.
  • Solid experience in managing sizable marketing communications campaigns with excellent project management skill.
  • Strong knowledge in social media, digital marketing and content development.
  • Strong competency in writing and editing English and Chinese. Capable to gate keep high standard content quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to work with a wide range of people across functions.
  • Good judgement sense with strong analytical and organizational skills to handle the complexity of projects.
  • High flexibility to handle multiple tasks and to work under pressure within tight timelines.
  • Being able to work independently and to lead the junior staff to achieve the goals.

Terms of Appointment: Salary placement will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The contract will normally be for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to review.  A contract-end gratuity (taxable) will be payable upon satisfactory completion of the contract.  Medical and dental benefits, annual leave and the use of sports and library facilities will be provided where applicable.  The School also provides staff development opportunities.
