Key Responsibilities:

Management Reporting, Controlling and Analysis

  1. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc management reports. Consolidate business unit results into regional view.
  2. Create, manage and automate operational reports and dashboards to monitor the performance of business results
  3. Assist in developing and implementing expense management policies and initiatives.
  4. Work closely with the Accounting team to assist with period variance analysis
  5. Develop, execute and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business. Leverage tools and systems to quickly access data and present meaningful, concise information to various levels of management
  6. Support finance capabilities by partnering with teams across the company to drive financial and strategic insight through deep goal-oriented financial analysis
  7. Assist in development finance and business presentation and related supporting materials.

Budgeting/Forecasting:

  1. Assist with the preparation of the detailed annual budget and forecasts including the consolidated budget.
  2. Develop appropriate systems, to further automate the budget and forecasting processes.
  3. Prepare the operational budget timetable and work with other business functions to enable the business to meet agreed deadlines.
  4. Prepare company annual budget. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of the budget for management approval. Continuously monitor actual expenditure against budget, and undertake appropriate control measures to ensure operations are conducted cost effectively within approved budget.
  5. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, accounting policy, practice and current developments.

 Job Requirement:

  1. Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or Professional Certificates i.e. ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/CFA.
  2. 5 to 7 years working experience in insurance including at least 3 years in audit firm, preferably from Big 4/Insurance industry.
  3. Knowledgeable in IFRS accounting standards, tax requirements and investments.
  4. Advanced Excel skills, experience with database management tools and sophisticated modeling tools

  4. Ability to synthesize complex concepts/strategies into a clear story for both internal and external constituents

  6. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with business partners/department heads/coworkers as a trusted and objective advisor
  7. Exposure to key financial management processes as required in a scaling organization
  8. Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
  9. Self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision and effective in dealing with ambiguity
  10. Advanced Excel skills, experience with database management tools and sophisticated modeling tools
