Assistant Manager/Manager - Middle Office

  • Overall daily responsibility for transaction, position and pricing management for client accounts
  • Coordination with Portfolio Managers, Executing Brokers, Prime Brokers, Custodians, Fund Accountants and/or other 3rd party providers
  • Managing the upload of transactions, prices and corporate actions into system daily
  • Identification of breaks and timely resolution with other parties
  • Escalation and tracking of issues
  • Process cash management instructions
  • Static data maintenance (security master, counterparty master etc)
  • Daily and monthly P&L and other reporting processes
  • Timely response to PM queries
  • Assist with Due Diligence questionnaire responses
  • Assist with portfolio conversions
  • Additional responsibilities include implementing policies, procedures and internal controls, process improvement, ad hoc reporting and other administrative duties



  • 5+ years of operations/middle office experience in a financial services firm, ideally an asset management firm or middle office services provider
  • General exposure to varied asset types including Fixed Income, Equities and exchange-traded derivatives. Knowledge of OTC derivatives would be a plus
  • Transaction management, including trade and position reconciliations
  • Position management, including corporate actions management
  • Market data management
  • P&L and Performance reporting
  • Experience of hedge fund or family office operations either within an asset manager or at a service provider would be a plus
  • Experience with Advent Geneva would be a plus
