Faculty of Humanities
The appointee is required to provide leadership in managing programme promotion and student recruitment activities for the Faculty. Major duties include developing marketing strategies and materials for the promotion of Faculty programmes, achievements, and engagements; strengthening internal and external communications, particularly relating to programme promotion and the key stakeholders and partners of the Faculty; developing and implementing communication plans and publicity events related to Faculty and programme promotion, academic developments, community engagement and knowledge transfer; contributing to the development and design of faculty multimedia publicity; managing the development and maintenance of websites and other e-marketing communications; evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns and gather marketing intelligence to advise on decision making; and performing other duties as assigned. He/she will be responsible for external relations and occasional travel may be required. The appointment will be for a period of 12 to 24 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or a related discipline, with at least 7 years’ or more of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably in corporate or marketing communication, particularly in executing online marketing campaigns and social media management. Applicants should have good presentation skills and high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua). The appointee should be a self-starter who is dynamic and meticulous, with hands-on experience in the implementation of marketing programmes and publicity events, and have excellent presentation and influencing skills. Experience in working at tertiary institutions will be desirable, and knowledge of HTML, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and video editing skills will be an added advantage.
