Assistant Officer, Building Services (1-year contract)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to execute maintenance services and project engineering tasks; prepare annual plan, budget proposal, and necessary documents in accordance with ISO 9001 standard.
  • Assist to prepare regular maintenance records, maintenance schedule, monthly/ quarterly/ yearly performance reports, standard operation and maintenance procedures, regular review and inspection to ensure service quality and efficiency.
  • Attend, report and resolve equipment/system fault, emergency breakdown and other technical incidents for ensuring smooth operation is maintained.
  • Assist to perform technical review and feasibility study; prepare project proposal and cost estimation, implementation plan, work programmes, project reports for any maintenance, repairing, alteration and/or improvement works.
  • Assist to compile tender documents such as specification requirements, drawings and technical data; evaluate contractor quotations/ tender offers for any maintenance, repairing, alteration and/or improvement works.
  • Assist to carry out inspection for repairing/ alteration/ improvement works and assessment for work progress/ work done/ workmanship; check and ensure the works are completed in accordance with relevant requirements; certify contractor’s payment; and prepare contractor performance reports.
  • Assist to review electricity / water consumption, identify and implement energy saving initiatives, carry out energy audit and report.
  • Liaison and work closely with internal and external parties such as inter-departments, consultants, contractors, utility companies, Government bodies, customers, end-users and etc. to resolve any operational issue and special incident.
  • Liaison with the client and his representatives on the performance and condition of E&M systems and related building facilities.
  • Achieve key performance index (KPI) as set by Home Affairs Bureau
  • Assist to vetting fitting-out / reinstatement work proposal submitted by tenants, provide technical support, perform inspections and report for any irregularities.
  • Perform and complete any other duties or complete ad hoc assignments as and when required.

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
  • 1-2 years’ working experience in property / facilities management;
  • Presentable, independent and excellent communication skills with tenants, residents and public;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of PC applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Immediate available is preferred
