DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The appointee will be required to:
(a) support the Department in a wide range of activities, including administration of student-related matters (e.g. admission, registration, examination and student record), WIE programme (Work-Integrated Education) and matters relating to student projects;
(b) support programme leaders in daily operation of academic programmes;
(c) assist in events/activities organized by the Department;
(d) provide secretarial support to departmental committees/working groups;
(e) assist in office management; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his delegates.
The appointee may be required to work beyond normal office hours for the purpose of attending meetings or activities.
(a) have a recognised degree with some relevant working experience;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
(c) have good knowledge of and skills in computer applications and in handling administrative duties;
(d) have good liaison and organizational skills;
(e) have good communication and interpersonal skills; and
(f) be a good team player.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
