The appointee will be required to:

(a) coordinate the work of a team of clerical staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the general office of the Department or its unit;

(b) provide support in various aspects of academic programmes, such as admission exercise, class time-tabling, subject registration and costing exercise;

(c) liaise with internal and external parties in coordinating and organising student learning activities and departmental events;

(d) coordinate and compile returns/reports/statistics, manage and maintain databases;

(e) provide support to departmental committees;

(f) assist the Senior Executive Officer(s) or Executive Officer(s) in the daily operation of the general office; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or his/her delegates.


Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;

(b) several years of relevant post-qualification experience;

(c) the qualities of a team leader as well as a good team player;

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;

(e) good computer literacy, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Chinese Word Processing; and

(f) good interpersonal and communication skills.

Preference will be given to those with solid relevant experience in the tertiary education sector.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
