Assistant Officer (Ref. 221109012)


The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide support to the administration of undergraduate / postgraduate programmes including admission, subject registration, class timetabling, examination, student liaison and professional accreditation;

(b) assist in the coordination of co-curricular activities, e.g. summer placement, exchange programmes, seminars and career talks etc.;

(c) provide support to marketing activities and scholarly events, such as Information Day, Congregation, school visits and conferences;

(d) provide logistics and secretarial support to committees and meetings;

(e) provide administrative support to departmental exercises such as Final Year Project allocation, workload exercise etc.; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.


Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;

(b) at least three years of relevant working experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions;

(c) good communication, interpersonal and organisation skills;

(d) a high level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently;

(e) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and

(f) good computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
