Should you join our Corporate Banking business, you will have an opportunity to develop into an all-round corporate banker and to expose yourself to various corporate banking businesses such as trade, corporate credit and corporate wealth management. You will also have the opportunity to take part in delivering the best financial services to our corporate customers and in helping to build a close relationship with them.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Portfolio Management Manager.


Principal responsibilities

  • Support the Worry/Watch/Monitor framework and process and the management information that leads to early warning indicators
  • Guide front-line through Early Warning regime to identify deteriorating credits, and Worry, Watch, Monitor (“WWM") processes to preserve portfolio quality and mitigate credit loss;
  • Coordinate with business unit, management, product managers, and support teams to ensure relevant concepts/guidelines are incorporated into business decision for WWM mitgations;
  • Provide oversight and challenge over the WWM process via regular reviews of WWM portfolio and participate in the WWM discussions and meetings;
  • Collaborate with Business and Risk functions in the identification of WWM names with the objective of ensuring the complete integrity of the WWM List;
  • Review early warning indicators incl. adverse news, deterioration in benchmarking factors (eg. Share price, CDS, CRR, EDF, etc.), potential breach of covenants, etc.;
  • Prepare tracking/analysis reports to identify early warning signals of deteriorating credits and  track unfavourable concerns, assess the impact, send alerts to stakeholders and follow up;
  • Recommend WWM list based on company specific concerns, eg. financial deterioration, liquidity/financing risk, management issues, industry concerns, etc.; 
  • Collaborate with Business in forming appropriate account strategy and action plan in the short to medium term, to improve the risk profile of the exposure and mitigate WWM loss;
  • Track the progress of action plan and ensure delivery and effectiveness of mitigating actions to protect the bank and mitigate the loss;
  • To satisfy reporting requirements for regulators, internal reviewers and auditors for management of the lending book and WWM reporting;
  • Continually improve data collection, analysis and distribution processes to provide timely and insightful analysis and feedback
  • Make sure the use and disclosure of portfolio information follows the Compliance requirement
  • Support the deal prioritization process and low return management
  • Support the portfolio management functions and ad hoc projects as required



  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related disciplines
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in the banking industry, preferably in Credit Portfolio Management / Credit Risk Management / Commercial or Corporate banking;  
  • Sound knowledge of credit risks mitigation and portfolio management theory;
  • Strong skills in credit and portfolio risk and return analysis and modeling
  • Proficiency in application software such as Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua an advantage
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
