(Assistant) Product Manager (IoT - Mobile Solutions Development)

The Person

  • Degree holder or above
  • At least 8 years in ICT or telecom related industry
  • Strong understanding of the principles of IoT solution architecture and development including analytics, compute infrastructure, networking, operating systems, connectivity protocols, sensors, etc
  • Strong business acumen on Enterprise IT solutions through a mix of pre-sales, product GTM, technical scoping/development experiences (e.g. System or Business Analysis)
  • Exposure in IoT in specific industry preferred (e.g. service development on cloud, experience on project delivery with IoT sensors and gateway in retail, logistics, constructions, fleet telemetric industry)
  • Understanding of fixed and mobile Telecom operator’s market dynamics in Hong Kong and APAC (especially in enterprise domain) preferred
  • Subject matter experience in IoT and key tech trends for digital transformation (e.g. AI, blockchain, AR/VR, wearables)
  • A fast learner who is familiar with cloud computing, enterprise related mobile solutions, big data etc.
  • Excellent presentation and consultative selling skills

The Job

Product Manager is responsible to lead and drive product vision, roadmap and development including the coordination with key stakeholders and outside partners

  • Being an expertise in IoT market with detailed knowledge of state of the art solutions in this domain and competitive landscape to provide product vision, strategy, business case and competitive analysis
  • Design and develop end-to-end solution delivery and support models plus processes to ensure on-time and quality delivery of services
  • Lead strategy development and execution in new emerging M2M / IoT business verticals
  • Own product roadmap and identify and document epics, use cases and user stories that will define product delivery priorities and timeline
  • Document customer requirements to create innovative and differentiated solutions
  • Constantly look for new verticals, ideas and business models to increase M2M/IoT revenues
  • Support and guide sales/presales with vertical specific resources (global experts, documentation, best practices)
  • Transform complex technology solutions into simple concepts including associated design tradeoffs and effectively articulate these concepts to a mix of technical and business-minded audience
