Assistant Project Manager (2-Year Contract) [Ref. CLPeS-CB-FM-APM]

We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join our Contracting Business Department. The appointee will be assigned to work in the Hong Kong International Airport in Chek Lap Kok and responsible for the following major duties:

  • Responsible for effective project management of E&M contracts and system enhancement projects in airport area
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and contractors on the tendering, contracts administration, variations vetting and payments, as well as claims and disputes negotiation and resolution
  • Coordinate with clients to plan, schedule, and set up proper procedures and precautions to meet the Company's requirements and Corporate Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ) Documents standards
  • Prepare and review specifications for tendering, evaluating and selecting service contractors that meet technical specifications and engineering standards to achieve construction and operational targets
  • Coordinate site activities as well as supervise subordinates/subcontractors’ work performances
  • Provide training and development for subordinates and support company’s trainee programs
  • Perform other ad-hoc and shift duties as assigned
  • Work location is Hong Kong International Airport and Third-runway System project site area

Requirements:

  • A recognized University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Building Services Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in system design, operation, installation, testing, commissioning and project management of E&M installation, alterations and additions works
  • Sound knowledge of contractor management, interfacing with other parties and managing site activities in multi-discipline projects
  • Experience in utility organization and familiar with system operation procedures, work procedures and work permit system would be an added advantage
  • Strong business acumen, customer-oriented and performance driven
  • Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Possession of a valid driving license (class 1 and 2)
  • Possession of Construction Industry Safety Card
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for a lower position
