The Job
You will:
To assist the Project Manager to manage the works noted above. This includes involvement in the design stage through involvement in scope demarcation, tender award, submission approval, construction supervision and handover to Stakeholders and defects rectification.
Assist to monitor, liaise and critically review (with consultants, contractors as well as internal stakeholders) to resolve issues with an objective to meet programme and milestone dates. To take charge of site issues during the progress of works. Develop and monitor programmes, supervise and control project progress to ensure completion on time. This includes thorough understanding and control of the projects, scope and demarcation of works, assessment and control against major milestones, risk identification and mitigation, etc.
Assist to Monitor and control project costs within the approved budget; manage and monitor the preparation of contract documentation, variations, estimates, expenditures, and, assist with final account settlement. In exceptional cases to foresee any requirements of additional budget approval, during the works.
Assume a role in Quality Control, involve and give input in all stages of the project from design, specification, procurement, and especially construction to deliver a quality product.
Liaise with Consultants, Government departments and utility companies to ensure that the Club’s installations comply with the updated regulations and statutory requirements so that relevant licences or services can be obtained. In a timely manner.
Co-ordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, internal or external, throughout the duration of projects to ensure clear understanding of project development and to secure necessary input and decisions from these parties in a timely manner.
Provide professional advice to related vendors and users’ regarding construction of facilities to support their business objectives. Co-ordinate and communicate with the user to establish project design information, operational and user requirements. Establish the scope and requirements with users, assist with feasibility studies and evaluations to identify possible project strategies and solutions, including the testing and commissioning, acceptance tests and handover
Disseminate project information and maintain communication with users, team members, consultants, contractors and vendors by organizing design/construction co-ordination meetings. Ensure project information is well organized, shared rapidly and stored via the use of project Share Point.
Undertake other projects as assigned by Project Manager.
Control and manage project changes and inspection record.
Assist the ProjectManager on projects brief/ report writing, progress update and presentations.
Note the Club’s spirit of teamwork and be able to motivate teammates to achieve common goals. Collaborate with various teams, departments and project stakeholders both internally & externally. Maintain communication with team members by organizing necessary meetings in order to align project issues.
About You
You should have:
Degree in Architecture / Building / Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Structural Engineering / Surveying or equivalent subject.
Membership of Professional Institute(s) is preferable, Registered Professional would be an advantage
A minimum of ten years’ post-graduate experience in specializing in design, construction and management of building projects
Good experience in high quality building or civil projects
Good experience in high quality fit-out or A&A works to existing building
Good experience in sustainable building design or HKBEAM / LEED submission for building projects would be an advantage
Good experience in statutory or licensing submission for building projects would be an advantage
Good experience in local, China and oversea building projects would be an advantage.
Concept and knowledge of project management software tools, such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, MS Project and/ or PowerPoint would be an advantage
Concept and knowledge of BIM software tools, such as REVIT, and/ or Navisworks would be an advantage
Concept and knowledge of playground safety would be an advantage
Excellent skill on drawings preparation
Conversant with local building controls, particularly BD / FSD/ HAD/ FEHD etc.
Proficiency in both English and Chinese
Self-motivated and a team player
Good leadership and communication skills
