Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the assistant project manager for FATCA, AEOI and tax related matters is to ensure the compliant of global and respective local requirements of these tax frameworks for Asia Pacific. The APM should also ensure all the related projects derived from FATCA, AEOI and tax related matters are implemented per the timeline of Head Office and respective local regulatory requirements. APM should work with Client On Boarding Teams of HK and SG in order to ensure all the static data and client documents are fully complied to the requirements.

The APM is required to work closely with the global project team of FATCA/AEOI/Neptune and the stakeholders in Asia, managing projects form initial analysis through to the successful implementation. The remit includes project planning, business analysis, budget tracking, stakeholder management and ongoing status reporting.

The APM is also expected to lead/participate to the projects which Client On Boarding Team will be involved.

The APM should perform the following functions including but not limited to

  • Acts as central point to communicate various APAC sites and Head Office in related to AEOI/FATCA and tax related matters;
  • Develop, update and implement Asian Policies as well as documentations in related to FATCA, AEOI and tax related matters
  • Arrange, lead and maintain proper records/ minutes of Asia Project Committee meetings, US Tax committee and other related committees
  • Coordinate projects with various stakeholders in related to US Tax, AEOI and other tax related matters;
  • Arrange and deliver proper training to the stakeholders of Asia Pacific;
  • Answer Inquiries Regarding FATCA, US Policy, AEOI and other tax related matters;
  • Others COB Team involved projects which may update from time to time

Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)

  • Project management experience preferred
  • Collaborate effectively with key individuals from all business functions and IT (across locations), taking high-level business requirements through to a detailed functional specification and deliver status updates and present proposals to senior management.
  • Good problem solving and organizational skills, attention to detail, adherence to timeline, especially where regulatory deadlines are involved,
  • Strong interpersonal skill and verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter with demonstrable ability to learn and adapt to the on-going changes
  • Ability to work independently in high paced environment to manage a multi-stream workload

Specific Qualifications Required

  • 4 to 6 years' related working experience in financial services. At least 2 full years' working experiences in related to FATCA /AEOI projects from Financial Institution or consultancy firm (e.g. Big 4).
  • Adequate knowledge of IRS forms and reporting requirements, and familiarity with business legal documents
  • Experience with AMY/KYC requirements and Clients On-boarding preferred
