Assistant Project Manager [Ref. CLPeS-CB-FM-APM]

We are looking for an energetic and innovative engineering professional to join our Contracting Business Department. Reporting to the Project Manager of Facilities Management Branch, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Responsible for effective project management of maintenance contracts and E&M projects in airport area
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and contractors on the tendering, contracts administration, variations vetting and payments, as well as claims and disputes negotiation and resolution
  • Coordinate with clients to plan, schedule, and set up proper procedures and precautions to meet the Company's requirements and Corporate Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Quality (HSSEQ) Documents standards
  • Prepare and review specifications for tendering, evaluating and selecting service contractors that meet technical specifications and engineering standards to achieve construction and operational targets
  • Familiar with the Apron Systems including but not limited to Aircraft Loading Bridge, Fixed Ground Power and Aircraft Parking Aids systems. The candidate is expected to coordinate site activities as well as supervise subordinates/subcontractors’ work performances
  • Provide training and development for subordinates and support company’s trainee programs
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
  • Shift duty is required, and work location will be at the airport area

Requirements

  • A recognized University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Building Services Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years' working experience in design, operation, installation, testing and commissioning and project management of E&M installation, Programmable Logic Controller and SCADA system
  • Sound knowledge of contractor management, interfacing with civil contractors and managing site activities in multi-discipline projects
  • Experience in and/or knowledge in airport operation procedures and familiar with the airport environment would be an added advantage
  • Strong business acumen, customer-oriented and performance driven
  • Good interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Possession of a valid driving license is preferred
  • Possession of Construction Industry Safety Card
